CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT: WORT HOG
We teamed up with Cris Bezdek, Matt Lutz, and Lou Oliva, founders of Wort Hog Brewing Company located in Warrenton, Virginia, and helped them brand a craft brewery that would provide a variety of signature flavors, seasonal rotations, and experiential style beers.
Brewmaster, Jeremy Hunt, introduced us to Cris Bezdek, Matt Lutz, and Lou Oliva over at Wort Hog Brewing Company. After founding their brewery in 2015, they reached out to us to create a brand image for them as they set out on their craft brewing adventure to serve signature beers to their patrons in their taproom bar, mezzanine, rooftop bar, outdoor patio, and rooftop seating area.
We wanted to create a sharp looking warthog and we also used two shades of red to add depth and dimension to the overall design. We also wanted to visually incorporate barley and hops into the design so that you would know right away that the imagery was grounded in brewing beer. We emphasized that again by adding another hop between the words in the name below the main image.
After creating a solid brand logo, the Hogs were looking to hire a graphic design company to handle all their beer logo design work and social media graphics. Impressed by our work and talent, they contracted us on a year-to-year basis. You can partner with us too!
Beer Badges
For each craft beer that Wort Hog Brewing Company developed, we designed and created a beer badge for their website and beer taps. These were also used for social media posts to promote upcoming beer releases. We brainstormed ideas with the Hogs on the names of the beer as well as the imagery in the creation process for each badge. Here is a small sample of these designs.
Crowlers
When you visited the brewery, you may have wanted to take some of the beers home with you as they were just that good. We designed several series of crowlers for Wort Hog Brewing Company. These are just two of the sets that we designed for them, and their customers were thrilled to be able to get some of their favorite beers and carry them home with them.
Apparel
Cris, Matt, Lou, and their crew were proud of their company, as they should have been. They liked nothing better than to wear different types of apparel to show off their brand imagery, brewery, and craft beers. We were able to design sweatshirts and t-shirts for the Hogs to showcase their beer ideas and creations as well as the brewery overall. These were a few of the ones that you could pick up during your visit to the brewery.

Brewery Events
Many events were held at the brewery and there was always a little something for everyone from Thursday night trivia, to musical guests that would perform live music, to Friday night karaoke, to yoga on the rooftop deck. Here are a just few of the event flyers as well as social media graphics for some of the events that took place at the brewery.
Tri-Fold Brochure
Wort Hog Brewing Company wanted a tri-fold brochure to help promote their brewery and have something that customers could take with them that would let them know how they could rent different areas of the brewery to hold events. This is the brochure that we designed for them for this need.
